Internal assessment report now posted online

Hagaskóli conducts ongoing internal assessments according to its established plan. The assessment process includes external and internal measurements, classroom evaluations, and findings from focus groups. Focus group discussions last school year examined two areas from MMS quality standards: "Professional collaboration and dialogue" and "Improvements and implementation of changes."
Part of the assessment involves administrators observing all teachers' classes and discussing learning and instruction with each teacher. The assessment highlighted several key strengths, including highly engaged students and excellent teacher-student relationships. Current improvement efforts focus on making learning objectives and success criteria more visible to students and parents.
The assessment report details the evaluation process, summarizes the findings, and outlines the improvement plan. Our experience shows that a robust internal assessment process not only provides valuable information about school operations but also creates an excellent foundation for professional collaboration and dialogue within the school.
