Christmas greetings from Hagaskóli
Math Christmas cards
In the last week before Christmas, 10th grade students worked on a math project to create Christmas cards that had to meet various mathematical guidelines. Among the requirements, all cards had to include a circle with a 2.0 or 4.5 cm diameter, two triangles that met specific conditions, a cylinder, and much more. The cards also needed to be Christmas-themed and tell a story. As students finished their cards and put the final touches on the accompanying report, the group realized it would be a waste to let such beautiful cards and hard work sit unused in student folders. So they decided to get together this morning over gingerbread cookies and write Christmas and heartfelt messages in the cards for the school's neighbors, which were then delivered to random houses around noon. We hope our neighbors enjoyed receiving Christmas greetings from Hagaskóli students. Students and staff at Hagaskóli wish everyone a merry Christmas!
Friday, Dec. 19 is the last school day at Hagaskóli before Christmas. Classes resume after the Christmas break as scheduled.
