Traveling photography exhibit at Hagaskóli

The core value for March at Hagaskóli is love, and Child Prosperity Week is currently underway in municipalities across the capital area. At the beginning of the month, we welcomed the traveling photography exhibit "Love in the Spirit of Bryndís Klara." The exhibit is on display in the hallway on the first floor of the main building. The photography exhibit started its tour on Aug. 30, 2025, at Klébergsskóli. Its purpose is to remind us how important it is to show love and compassion and work well with others. This is how we make the world a better place. The exhibit was previously on display at Foldaskóli, Vogaskóli and Austurbæjarskóli. Students will take part in discussions and work on projects related to the exhibit and the month's core value.

About the Knights of Love

Knights of Love (Riddarar kærleikans) is a movement of people who want to live in a community where love prevails. During a difficult time, Bryndís Klara's father suggested that we all become Knights of Love — by making love our only weapon in society. As a result, the Knights of Love movement was born.

The project is built on respect for victims of violence and the hope that we can come together to create a better and safer society for future generations. In all our communications, we focus on sharing this message with honesty and warmth. Please note that many children need to discuss the perpetrator in Bryndís Klara's case. If this comes up, you can tell children that Bryndís Klara's immediate family wants her death to lead to something good. We should not allow anger and hatred to take center stage. Instead, we should focus on the importance of love. You can find more information on Bryndís Klara's memorial website https://mbk.is and the Knights of Love website https://riddararkaerleikans.is
